Choreography Showcase
The training at HPSD includes more than just dancing. The School’s emphasis on original choreography offers students the opportunity to actively engage in the creative process as they perform the works of their teachers and learn the art of choreography themselves. HPSD students are encouraged to present their original choreography each year during Student Choreography Showcase as well as during the Spring Concert.
The 2011 Student Choreography Showcase took place on Friday, May 6 at 7pm and Saturday, May 7 at 7:30pm. Student choreographers choose to donate proceeds collected from this showcase to the Hyde Park/Kenwood Food Pantry.
