Fill out in advance this brief ☛ intake form ☚ for each auditioning dancer.  Completing the online form early will make check-in much smoother for you and be a great help to our hard-working faculty and staff. 

**There are no make-up auditions.** If you know your dancer wants to participate in the show but they are unable to attend their assigned audition, please fill out the intake form and request an excused absence.

Age and level requirements:

• Currently enrolled dancers ages 7+ by 9/1/26 in any dance level 1 and up may audition.
• Dancers should attend the audition that corresponds to their highest class level.
• Dancers may choose to audition for each style they are enrolled in but are not required to do so.
• Pre-Ballet and FUNdamentals dancers interested in performing at the Nutcracker shows should sign up for the Young Dancer Holiday Pre-Show Workshop.

Company dancers:

• ONLY need to audition at their Company audition, see schedule below.
• Company dancers enrolled in a hip hop class (Studio or Breaking) audition for the Battle Scene if they would like to be in that scene.

Arrival time:

• You must arrive 45 minutes before your audition start time to be measured for costumes.
• NO LATE ARRIVALS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
• All participating dancers should be checked in, with their measurements taken, and ready to dance at the start of their scheduled audition time.

Audition dress code:

• Your dancer should wear the uniform required for their classes to the audition.
• If your dancer is in a class like hip hop or tap where they can wear looser clothes to class, we request that they wear more form fitting clothes to the audition, or bring a change of clothes for the fitting so we can get best fit measurements (e.g., an undershirt and leggings with basketball shorts on over). This is a good rule of thumb for costume fitting in the future.

Follow-up after auditions:

• An email will be sent after the auditions detailing next steps.
• Attend a Mandatory Family Info Meeting via Zoom for participating families (link in follow-up email): 
   Date: September 16, 2026 @ 6:30-7:30pm.
• The fee to participate in the Nutcracker performance workshop is $360 (HPSD scholarships apply).
